An AXN is a content-derived identifier. Its identity kernel is the SHA-256 of your file's canonical bytes, rendered as six glyphs a hand can copy — derived from the work rather than assigned to it, so anyone can verify it anywhere, without asking us.
Three layers: an identity kernel, a record address, and locations. The kernel is computed from your canonical bytes — nothing is uploaded to compute it.
The identity kernel — SHA-256 of the canonical bytes, computed in your browser. No normalization, nothing transmitted.
Six glyphs from the first six bytes of that hash, struck onto an added margin. Your canonical bytes are never altered.
A record address — position and semantic family — in a public, exportable registry, plus locations naming where verified copies can be obtained.
No promise of ours is load-bearing. Every line below follows from one fact: the identifier is computed from your bytes, so verifying it needs no permission, no service, and no one's continued goodwill — including ours.
